February // Was a busy month! Wedding showers began for Devin's sister. I worked long hours at work preparing for our youth group's huge discipleship weekend event. Once I had some more time on my hands, after reading other blogs for months, and with some good advice from Jessica -- I decided to start my own blog with this post on February 24th.
March // March started my obsession with the Hunger Games -- I finished the book series and saw the movie. I branched out my blogging wings and participated in some of my first link-ups: High Five for Fridays, Sometimes & Always, and Oh, How Pinteresting! Devin's sister got married on March 17th and Devin and I were bridesmaids and groomsmen. I got brutally honest with this post.
April // I started off on a somber note in April, I still find this post so true as 2013 begins. I "met" my blog best, Amanda. There was a crazy tornado outbreak in the metroplex! We celebrated our first Easter together as a married couple. This was Devin's birthday month and I got my first blog award! I said 'hello' to an old back injury. I remembered the Royal Wedding and introduced you all to my love of Europe, the UK, and the Royals...
May // Began with my first trip ever to Colorado (here, here, & here). May also began my first summer season as a working woman (sad day). My parents got a new puppy...Piper! And I re-learned a good lesson from my younger self.
June // My blogging lagged as the busy summer seasons at the church I work at picked up. I celebrated a fun birthday! I talked about my hair phobia. And my mom mailed me a piece of cake. I even won some of my first blog giveaways!
July // July was a special month for Devin and I. We remembered a special night when so many of our friends and family came in to celebrate at our rehearsal dinner. We celebrated one year of marriage on July 2nd (so happy!). We of course celebrated in style. We began the search for our first house...Even though you guys didn't know it yet ;)
August // The Olympics started this month and I couldn't take my eyes off the TV! I redesigned my blog & made my own blog design. I relived my childhood with the wonderful Spice Girls! I introduced you all to my new born cousin, Emma and her struggle and journey in the hospital. Devin and I also celebrated one year working at our jobs!
September // I went home for the first time in forever and celebrated Labor Day with my family. Fall came early to Texas. I also got pretty heartfelt with many of my posts in September -- There were a lot of changes going on, I suppose (1 // 2 // 3).
October // We bought our very first house in October! And then I let you in on our house-hunting story (1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5). I did my very first guest post...Europe Style! I also let you all know of my love for T.Swift.
November // I gave you all an amazing update on Emma and asked for some more big prayers! We voted for our president. I was reminded of so many blessings around Thanksgiving. I shared our fun African Thanksgiving tradition.
December // December kicked off with a fun ornament swap I participated in! I rejoiced in the news of the Royal Baby, of course. The Christmas season was welcomed in Texas with some snow! I shared my favorite Christmas albums. I let you all know what Christmas was like in Arkansas. I also participated in my first blog giveaway! Then I got to ride on the Polar Express to round out the Christmas season :)
As I was writing this post and looking back, I could hardly believe how fast the 2012 year has flown by! So many great milestones happened for both Devin and I, and I cannot help but feel blessed. I always feel nostalgic this time of year, and I think it has only grown with age. Simply because I feel like I'm learning how precious life is. We never know when our last moment with someone will be and I'm learning to soak in each precious moment we have.
Blogging has definitely been a huge part of my life this year and I can't believe how much it has changed me...for the good! I'll be celebrating my first blog anniversary this coming February and I'm ready for what 2013 has in store for this blog of mine. I'm so blessed by this community of friends I've found and established. So, thank YOU for being you!

I love this :) Is it crazy that we created our blogs on almost the exact same day!! Definitely not a coincidence since we're basically the same person :)

Okay anyways.. I hope your New Years was full of dip, dip, & more dip && you savored every last drop of Diet Coke... I brushed my teeth early & said goodbye to Coke.. I'm fearful that I'll just give up on this little goal =/
