My Goals {2013}

I'm not one to usually make resolutions for the New Year.
I'm more for long-term goals (much like I wrote about yesterday).
I usually just make a few goals in my head, think on it, then move on and forget about them until the next New Year.
Hardly ever following through...

However, the blogging world has a funny way of changing you...As I mentioned the other day.
I'm not so much making a list of "resolutions" because everyone else in the blogging world is, but because I see it as a way to really keep me accountable this upcoming year.

By posting my goals for the world to see...I'm letting you in on my 2013 year goals. Your very readership keeps me accountable. Also, this is me (probably for the first time ever) actually writing down the things I want to do. I can keep myself accountable and actually have something to look back on once 2014 starts!

Now these are not so much resolutions...More so, goals that I hope to accomplish in 2013.
I've chosen to keep some to myself. But otherwise, here's to YOU keeping ME accountable!

If I fail, well then...I blame you. I kid, I kid.
But man, do I feel vulnerable posting these...Here goes nothing!

 Twenty-Thirteen

+ Drink only water, coffee, tea (unsweet). No soda!
+ Have regular, daily quiet times. Start reading through the Bible chronologically. Pray more.
+ Start working out 5-6 days/week. Begin losing weight to reach my goal weight.
+ Maintain a healthy lifestyle of eating well. Cooking more. Eating out less. Plan out meals.
+ Grow my blog: Reach out, explore, design, etc.
+ Learn a new make-up routine via healthy make-up & styles. Wash my face regularly.
+ Learn to use my new curling iron.
+ Finish decorating & furnishing our new home.
+ Frame, print, and album photos from the last year.
+ Save more money.
+ Start saving for our Europe Trip.
+ Buy my iPhone 5 & set up our new phone plans.
+ Start saving/buy a new computer (MacBook).
+ Organize all bills, files, and important documents.
+ Read more books.
+ Be more content, present, and happy.
+ Love Devin more each day. Work on and grow our marriage everyday.
+ Update/Clean up Facebook.
+ Clean the home more regularly. Stay organized.
+ Stay in touch with loved ones regularly or on holidays/birthdays/anniversaries.
+ Try new things on the weekends and make more memories.
+ Finish our engagement journal.
+ Find some new, fun TV shows to watch.
+ Remember to have my rings inspected.
+ Get our living room, downstairs bathroom, & upstairs guest painted.
+ Do more yoga.
+ Live in each moment. Trust God daily. Find beauty. Worry less. Be thankful.

This may seem like a lot. But even though, I feel like each of these things is and can be doable.
One of the reasons this list is long is because, quite frankly, I hardly did any of this (or anything) last year. Ya'll, I was pretty lazy...

I feel embarrassed, yet relieved, to admit this out loud on this blog. My list is long because I hardly did anything last year! Besides the normal routine of get up, work, bathe, eat, sleep, etc...
My life isn't perfect. It hasn't been easy this last year. And honestly, there are a lot of personal things that I didn't write out on here because I have a mess of personal things that I want to straighten up.

But that's life. It's messy. It's not perfect. It's real.
And as tough as things get, I'm thankful nonetheless.
When 2014 rolls around and if I still haven't done some of these things...I won't beat myself up about it.
I'll just straighten up and try again...Or maybe something won't be as important (or an issue/problem) one year from now.

I really am ready for 2013.
It has an essence about it that is: mystifying, inspiring, and full of new beginnings.
I have much of the blogging world to thank for this.
Blogging has led me to be more inspired. It has given me peace to know I'm not alone in struggles.
I'm ready to document, journey, and dive in.

Are you ready?

All of these are such fun, meaningful goals! I love them! & I'm with you on last year.. I feel like all I did was sit on the couch and watch Netflix =/ when I admit that out loud it makes me feel like a terrible person. Thanks for sharing your heart, sweet friend. LOVE YOU! & love these goals. You will do great.
